A good hacker can get into anything and cause mischief. All they have to do is get into one vehicle, shut it off while it is going 70 MPH down a crowded freeway and cause a pile up with multiple wrecks, injuries and possible deaths.
This is really scary, but yet, I guess not very shocking. Does the same risk exist for other vehciles? For instance could a hacker take over an airplane or cruise ship? I fear they could, as the article says, anything with an outside connection is open to a hack.
How easy could it be to hack drones? On one hand you have military drones, which carry weapons. I suppose those will most likely have solid anti-hacking software. But what about the drones that are available to the public? Sure it may not have weapons, but a ‘hacked’ drone could still fly into traffic, or worse.
