I agree with “Oh, Hell no.” It’s creepy enough that my phone knows everywhere I go. I don’t want my car to be trying to give me coupons/discounts. I pass these places all the time and know that they are there. If I choose to visit them, I can.

So the “Good Hands” people are not satisfied with price optimization schemes which take loyal, loss free customers and raises their premiums. They now want to sell private info on their policyholders to a third party for a profit. Isn’t this great? Do they not have to ask permission? Ever since the Privacy Laws were passed, the American people have less and less privacy.

I find it interesting that most likely many of the people most violently against sharing any data like this (which has more to do about mega-data, how many people pass a certain spot, than individual data, where a certain person is at a certain moment in time) are the same folks which share tons of individual data about themselves on Facebook, Twitter and other social media. Just saying.
