Specialty program manager Victor O. Schinnerer & Co. Inc. said it has appointed Brian Hanuschak as president.
In his new role, Hanuschak will be responsible for leading operations and developing business across the firm’s range of specialty insurance products. His focus will include expanding the existing platform by driving new product innovation and extending the reach of the distribution network.
Prior to taking the role of president, Hanuschak served as managing director of sales and distribution for the company, where he focused on new program development, sales and marketing strategy, and cultivating broker and carrier relationships. Prior to joining Schinnerer, Hanuschak was a managing director in the treaty department at Guy Carpenter. He is a 31-year veteran of the insurance industry and has held senior management positions in subsidiaries of Travelers, GE Capital and General Reinsurance.
Hanuschak will be based in the firm’s Chevy Chase, Maryland, headquarters and report to Rob Byler, CEO of The Schinnerer Group.
