Yes, Agent, he is a desperate candidate right now. However, he’s nothing more than an empty suit that the GOP establishment would love to get the nomination. Fortunately, the Republican voters are not cooperating (let’s hope that doesn’t change), which is a very good thing because he would get smoked in a general election.
About 10 of the candidates on the Republican side need to call it a day including Jeb. Buckeye, how do you feel about your native son Kasich? He is amiable, but I think he comes across as walking talking points. He is supposed to be popular, but he couldn’t swing Ohio over to Romney in the last election.
Agent, I think he’s been a business-friendly governor and the state has done rather well during his tenure. Unfortunately, this doesn’t play as well as it should in the Democrat havens in the big counties across the state. However, I think he’s a bit too bent on government solutions at the national level. I don’t view him as a conservative in that he seems to believe he could simply pull the switches and levers differently to make the federal government run better, which is an insider or establishment view of the situation. I think he’s a smart guy (some misguided ideas, though) and a good man, but would not be on my short list for good candidates for President.
Buckeye, thank you for your knowledgeable opinion on Kasich. It fit in pretty much with what I have observed. The reason why Ohio is a battleground state is because of opposing factions. I have heard it is fairly heavily unionized and that makes it tough for Conservatives to win in. I agree that Kasich is a good man, but a little too eager for government solutions. That does not bode well for his candidacy. In any case, he would be far better than the milquetoast RINO Jeb as President and he does speak with passion.

So not one of you is going to comment that his “plan” has a provision that is just like Obama’s and hated by almost everyone? Apparently, Jeb likes the Cadillac tax. Jeb Bush has no clue. That does not separate him from any of the field (regardless of party).
It’s interesting to watch how the healthcare debate continues to evolve. However, neither the “Bush Plan” nor the ACA address one of the key issues driving costs.
The ACA is a disaster of Biblical proportions. Some say it can be fixed, amended so it can work. Not unless all the major provisions are scrapped and good, common sense ideas are implemented. We all knew when it passed with 0 bipartisan support that it would fail and 5 years in, it is worse than ever.
The underlying driving factors have not been addressed by anyone that I have seen. Why is it so obvious that we at the field level can see that, but not the politicians?
It should start with Tort reform. People talk about single payer system – how about a Single Biller System? My wife had a procedure done recently. Someone in the room was out of network while the rest of the crowd was in network.
How about stop requesting the same info over and over after its already been provided?
The constant hacking needs to be stopped. I dont know the answer to that, but it has to be out there somewhere. Maybe go back to dedicated hard wire?
Jeb Bush is running about 5% in most polls. He has to do something that will excite the voting citizens and yet he is still sinking.
