IronHealth Launches Hospital, Health System Liability Policy

IronHealth, the specialty healthcare unit of Ironshore Inc., has introduced its “LeadingEdge” policy for hospitals and integrated health care systems. IronHealth has developed the policy in response to the ongoing consolidation and evolution of healthcare business models to extend a new approach to insure emerging liability exposure. LeadingEdge is a comprehensive lead excess policy with coverage limits up to $15 million, attaching over a minimum $1 million self-insured retention.

The policy form also offers a drop-down suite of additional coverages, including reimbursement of expenses incurred for personal information protection, evacuation, disinfection, medical waste civil fines and penalties, and legal defense, among others.
