Farmers should sue her back for entrapment for taking the job at less pay than the males. There’s a lot more that goes into a job and corresponding pay level than just showing up for work for years and calling it more experience.

Well Jack, I do believe there was an interview process involved and an offer made for employment at a certain salary and benefits. If it were too low, the woman didn’t have to accept. Apply at another company and see if she could do better. If she were unhappy at her job, she can always get a headhunter to try to find another job.

As evidenced by the GOP mistakenly telling the truth in a fit of stupidity, Benghazi is nothing more than a Hillary witch hunt.

4 lives were lost — but those 4 lives were also lost in the sick game of politics you have played. Shame on the GOP.

Celtica, speaking of stupidity in Democratic politics, emails have now surfaced from Ambassador Stevens who was requesting increased security for months prior to the attack and it fell on deaf ears from your Secretary of State and her assistant Patrick Kennedy (Kennedy clan?). She got these people killed, not the GOP. Then they tried the lame theory of the video maker. This attack was planned long in advance.

You should be ashamed of Hilliary and her minions. She is going down as the worst Secretary of State in the history of the country and I hope Gowdy reveals everything she did and that knocks her out of the race.

Dear Agent: Thank God for Trump! He is now bringing home the point that everyone, especially in the GOP, seems to have forgotten. Bush II did not keep us safe on 9-11. 3,000+ died as a result of Bush II ignoring a memo dated 8-6-01 that Bin Laden intended to strike inside the U.S.

So — when you mention the deaths of 4 Americans in Benghazi, be sure to also think of the 3,000+ humans who died on 9-11. As for Trent Gowdy, the 7th — and final hearing — on Benghazi is blowing up in his face. Look for Hillary to finish him off — and end this ridiculous waste of public money.

Just learn to say Madame President.

Thank you DR, I strive to be #1! Sometimes I even resort to sarcasm.
As a consumer, we all try to get the best product at the best price. As a seller of products, we try to get the best price for our product. After some negotiating, a deal gets reached. No one is forcing the sale or purchase of a product.
As a job seeker, we all try to get the best job for us at the best salary. As an employer, we try to hire the best possible employee at the best price. After some negotiating, a deal gets reached. No one is forcing the employer to hire a certain person, and no one is forcing the job seeker to take a certain job.
If the consumer doesn’t like the product, they can usually return it. If the product has a shelf life and they find a better deal, next time they may go elsewhere. So, if the consumer buys 9 oranges for $6 and 5 days later another store is selling them at 9 oranges for $5, they don’t sue the store, they take their business elsewhere if they decide to.
If the employee doesn’t like the job, they can always quit or go to another employer. I don’t get why they should be allowed to start a lawsuit. If you look hard enough, you can find all kinds of pay anomalies.
If she thinks her job is paying unfairly, quit and go find one that pays to your liking.

Jack, good one. As business owners, we have all made employment decisions on whether to hire someone or fire someone. It is often a difficult decision. We give an employee every chance to succeed, but sometimes it just does not pan out for one reason or another. A stable work force is a blessing and we have been blessed with good, long term employees who have done well for themselves and the owners.

This is just more garbage that is destroying the country. did somebody put a gun to the head of these women when they were hired? No Did they accept the fee assigned? Yes. their rate of pay could be and probably is a reflection of their position in the law firms. If a carrier can reduce defense costs by using this methodology should they not do so?

But I get it they are female and entitled just like in law school. The two most dangerous things in America today is to be inside one of these Jezebel’s womb and to be born a man. Any questions?

By the way legal profession let;s institute this. each file worked and each minute worked has the license number of each attorney attached and reporetd to state and to the employer. Boy would that redcue law defense cost immensely.

Celtica, are you going into the Blame Bush mode again? We have had 7 years of that already. By the way, 9/11 was the end result of 8 years of Bill Clinton and his failed policies, having an Intelligence nightmare where all the agencies charged with our defense not communicating with each other. Do you really think Bin Laden would not have attacked if a Democratic President had been in office? Bush had only been in office 8 months at the time. Please name all the successes of Hilliary while Secretary of State. She was easily the worst we have had and on top of that exposed her emails to our enemies. China & Russia knows everything now with her re-set button. Obama has stated he would be more flexible in his second term. That is true since Putin is running rough shod over America at every opportunity. We have gone from weak to weaker with every passing week.

He was responsible for the first World Trade Center bombings, the two embassies in Africa, the Kobar Towers in Saudia Arabia bombing and the USS Cole terrorist attack. I posted this on the original article linked to this one, but seeing as how there are so many comments bashing this woman and implying that it’s her own fault for not making as much as her counterparts, I thought I’d post it again:

    *****

Reading through the complaint, it looks like there are at least two male attorneys who were hired after her and with far less experience that were making either more than or just under what she was making.

In 2010, she was a contract attorney w/Farmers, making $85,200
In 2011, she was hired full-time, with a salary of $90,00
In 2014, she was making $99,634.08

Male attorney, licensed 3 years with no insurance defense experience:
    – Hired in 2012, making $85,000
    – When he left left Farmers (2014?,) he was making $102,000

Male attorney, licensed 9 years with criminal, but no insurance defense experience:
    – Hired in 2012, making $85,000
    – In 2014, making $92,000

Based off the complaint, I can’t tell how long the attorney that she was making 50% less than, was with Farmers. If he’d been with them for 20+ years, his $150k-$200k doesn’t seem that far off, regardless of the fact that he passed the bar a year after her.

However, the two men who started after her and with so much less experience shouldn’t have been that close to her in salary. Especially since another female attorney who was licensed in 2009 and hired in 2010 (before any of them) was only making $68k.

Here’s the complaint if you want to see it.

    AGENT,

I TOTALLY AGREE. WOMEN ARE JUST STUPID. WE WANT EQUAL PAY FOR EQUAL WORK. WHEN WE DISCOVER OUR MALE COUNTER PARTS EARNING MORE IN THIER FIRST YEAR WHILE WE ARE IN OUR NINTH YEAR WE BECOME UNREASONABLE, EMOTIONAL AND UNSTABLE. WHEN WE GO TO THE PARTNERS (ALL MALE) WE ALWAYS PLAY THE “WHY ME!” CARD. AND WE CRY. YES THAT USUALLY WORKS! SHORTLY AFTER THAT WE CAN COUNT ON MORE WORK, MORE CRITICISM AND MORE RIDICULE SO THAT IF WE ARE NOT FIRED WE QUIT. ITS WHAT YOU REFER TO AS A STABLE WORK FORCE.

JUST UPPITY, HOW DARE WE. AS I SAID WE ARE VERY STUPID. WE TAKE JOBS SO WE CAN PAY OUR MORTGAGES, SUPPORT OUR FAMILIES, AND JUST LIVE. SO WHY WOULD A WOMAN TAKE A JOB LIKE THAT? GOT ME..MAYBE WE SHOULD ASK AT INTERVIEWS WHAT EVERYONE ELSE MAKES AND THEIR JOB DESCRIPTIONS. OH RIGHT, YOU CANT DO THAT…. AND WOULD IT REALLY MATTER ANYWAY BECAUSE THEY ARE DOING THE SAME THING DOWN THE STREET. OBVIOUSLY, HOWEVER THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO ANYONE IN YOUR “STABLE WORK FORCE. ”

AND WHEN WE DO FIND OUT ABOUT INEQUITIES, REPORT THEM, AND ARE TOLD “ITS FINE” WE SHOULD JUST QUIT!!! YES THAT WILL TEACH THEM!!!! LIKE IT DID IT THE 1990’S, THE 2000’S AND NOW. MAYBE THEY ARE JUST SLOW LEARNERS? BUT, OF COURSE THAT COULD NOT BE THE ANSWER, THE BOARD IS MADE UP OF ALL MEN.

AS FOR WHETHER FARMERS WILL HIRE ANY MORE WOMEN. OF COURSE THEY WILL!!! WHY NOT WHEN THEY CAN PAY LESS, UNLOAD WORK, AND GET AWAY WITH IT…LIKE IN THE 1990’S, THE 2000’S AND NOW. AGAIN MAYBE THEY ARE JUST SLOW LEARNERS?

THIS ISNT THEIR FIRST RODEO, ITS SIMPLY THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS.

Daisy, All caps means you are screaming. There is no need for that on this forum. I can’t help it if you are unhappy with your life situation and job. Everyone has a different story and big companies often do the wrong things and make bad decisions on employment. It is much better in the Independent Agency business and my female staff do not complain about their pay, benefits, work experiences. I am sure glad I don’t have a Celtica to deal with every day of the week.

Thank you for schooling me on appropriate posting etiquette. Are you really concerned with uppercase posts after the very nasty and obtuse comments noted above. Deflect…deflect… But you are right. Not only are we stupid but any female who voices objection MUST (yes uppercase) be unhappy with ours jobs and ‘life situation” deflect… Deflect…that surely explains it. We are just bitter shrews.. And we cry.

After reading these posts I am embarrassed for the insurance industry. The good news though is that it certainly explains a lot. Your posts seem to mirror the beliefs of Farmers Insurance. No trial brief needed just cut and paste these comments. The plaintiffs rest…
