Probably says more about the applicant’s work ethic than anything else. A business is looking for people to help it make a profit. Why would a business knowingly not hire people that could do that? Perhaps because they are “coasting” towards retirement and phoning it in every day?
Most lawsuits are not frivolous in nature and involve violations of existing state or federal law. Why would a business knowingly not hire people that could make them profitable? Well, it’s often more about the business itself then the employees who work there. If it were that easy to hire great people and employers valued there workers more you wouldn’t see this new trend of workers who have no choice but to bounce from job to job.
I disagree on businesses. Most would love to hire great employees who would make them more profitable. In the insurance industry, try finding a Millenial interested in selling insurance. They are not interested and most don’t have the personality for it. They would rather sit on a computer job and expect business to come to them. Then, they complain the job they have is a dead end job with no chance of advancement.
or maybe it is because you come across as a crotchety old man in your interviews so the millennial candidates decide during the interview process that they do not want to work for a boss who is so nasty to those who think differently than him
There is a so-called “brain drain” in the industry, but try to get hired if you are over 50 – good luck!
They would rather hire a stupid GenX or Millenial Progressive to do their work.
