General Star has introduced General Star Connect, a cloud-based rating software system developed by ClarionDoor, LLC, and customized for General Star’s Contract P&C unit of the Delegated Division.
General Star’s quoting process through ClarionDoor automates the manual quoting process, and to allows for greater control managing the underlying rates and business rules. ClarionDoor has delivered a general liability and commercial property rating service to be utilized by General Star’s appointed wholesale producers and internal underwriters. It also includes an ACORD XML web service for both lines of business.
General Star is a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Reinsurance Corp., a member of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies, and provides coverage on a non-admitted basis by General Star Indemnity Co.
