I wonder if future auto policies will have a provision/condition that requires a licensed and qualified driver in the front left seat. This could trump any interpretation from the NHTSA. If our industry will not insure the exposure, I guess legal interpretations will be relatively meaningless.
Crain, didn’t you know that driverless cars can never make any mistakes in judgment and the sensors are full proof? Take any of them out on a freeway 5 wide and see what will happen to them with drivers weaving in and out while on their cell.
