They better buy these cars back, I’m not making another payment till they do. How insulting if they are allowed to miss this deadline. Quit dragging your feet, suck it up, buy them back and take the loss.

I’ve been in limbo since sept 18th, Even VW would not buy my diesel back. I would like to buy a truck,
but my diesel has devalued due to the fraud VW pulled on me. When I bought this car , the salesman
said , these cars hold there value. Another big lie by VW. If something isn’t done by April 21st, I will
join the lawsuit against VW. These guys pulled the biggest scam in automotive history and the JUDGE
may let them off. I am totally pissed.

Why buy back the car if the only thing needed is a software fix? Suck it up and enjoy the great gas mileage.

How does a softward fix eliminate the pollution coming out of a diesel tail pipe?

        It works like this:

The computer switches…the fuel pressure, injection timing, exhaust-gas recirculation, and, in models with AdBlue, the amount of urea fluid sprayed into the exhaust. While this mode likely delivers higher mileage and power, it also permits heavier nitrogen-oxide emissions (NOx)”

It works like this. VW lied and trust with the consumer died.

            Agent,

            Let me correct your post for you;

Thank you for answering my question Rosenblatt. That was very informative.

            You are welcome!

even when someone simply answers your question and doesn’t attack or insult you, you can’t even throw a thank you their way for properly explaining what you were asking?

Reprogramming the ECU and calibrating it so it emits the right amount of exhaust.

Sounds like a simplistic solution. Why not make the car right to start with and this problem wouldn’t have occurred? Lying about the exhaust emission didn’t work out so well, no?

it IS a simplistic solution because that’s all VW did to game the emissions output – mess with the software. look at it like this – if windows 9 had privacy issues that sent your personal information to Russia but it was fixed in windows 10, all you’d need to do is update your software, right?

What was the motivation to lie about the emissions problem? Why is everyone from individual owners to dealerships suing their butt? They ruined their reputation for generations to try to pull off a scam and deceive. Was it worth it? I hardly think so.

what VW did was horrible, fraudulent, deceiving and illegal, and that is just 4 adjectives. i am not arguing otherwise – your follow up questions are pointless.

I am just explaining it’s really easy to fix the nonsense they tried to pull because all they have to do is patch the software that changed what the car does when the car determined it was being inspected and tested.

My follow up questions are pointless? As pointless as Obama and minions lying about Obamacare and how wonderful it would be and then be proven to be the biggest fraudulent lie ever visited upon this nation? VW is being held accountable as they should be.

      Agent,

I’ll take the lies and deception of the PPACA over the lies and deception that led to the Iraq invasion. The PPACA did not lead to the loss of thousands of our brave men and women or assist in the creation of ISIS and further deaths due to terrorism.

Well, double Obama voter, I am not surprised you would believe all his lies and deception since he has ruined millions of American families incomes for at least a generation. As the late Yogi Berra said – The future ain’t what it used to be.

          Agent,

You really need to work on your reading comprehension.

I did not say I believed the lies and deception, just that I would take them over lies and deception that lead to the invasion of Iraq.

As a matter of fact, I was against the PPACA from the beginning.

Did you believe all of President GW Bush’s lies and deception?
