General Star Management Co. has launched a new E&O program for title agents. Available in all jurisdictions except for Alaska, Hawaii, Louisiana, and West Virginia, the program is offered through American Insurance Professional LLC, of Phoenix, the sole program administrator for this new national facility.
The new form is claims made and reported with a three-year extended reporting period option is available.
The policy includes specialized enhancements designed to address contemporary business risks faced by title agent professionals. employee dishonesty, and privacy security & technology, are two such built-in coverages. Each is offered with a separate $25,000 limit of liability. A $200,000 limit is automatically included for reimbursement of defense costs arising out of actions brought by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
The program is written on a primary basis and targeted at small to mid-size title agent professionals.
Coverage is provided by General Star Indemnity Co. Coverage will be written on a non-admitted basis in all eligible jurisdictions. General Star Indemnity Co. is an eligible surplus lines insurer in all states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
