Andre Stewart has been named chief underwriting officer for NORCAL Mutual Insurance Co.
Stewart joined NORCAL in 2015 as senior vice president of underwriting for custom accounts, where he was responsible for new business growth with a focus on multi-state and national accounts, program business, unique risks and integrated delivery systems. Stewart now expands his role to lead all of NORCAL’s underwriting teams for both admitted and custom account business, including underwriting standards, operations and customer service.
Stewart joined NORCAL from The Doctors Co., where he served as chief underwriting officer and president of TDC Specialty.
NORCAL Mutual subsidiaries include Medicus Insurance Co., FD Insurance Co. and NORCAL Specialty Insurance Co. (formerly PMSLIC).
