Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance, has launched LIU Design and Data Insure, a new architects & engineers policy.
The enhanced policy offers insurance and risk management services to help protect design firms from wrongful acts incurred while providing professional services and from the consequences of a data breach or liability arising from the disclosure of private information as well as design-related information.
According to Georges Pigault, vice president, Architects & Engineers and Construction Professional Liability, the new policy eliminates the need for two separate policies to cover A&E and cyber liability exposures. The policy also gives insureds access to training, a customer website that provides risk management guidance, contract review as well as a data breach first responder who can provide initial support, and assessment following a breach.
To further extend its reach into the open brokerage community, LIU has also expanded its A&E team with five additional underwriters and claims professionals who will be based in the New York and Chicago offices.
LIU distributes global specialty lines products and services exclusively through the independent broker network worldwide.
