XL Catlin has appointed Stephen S. Oh to lead its Excess & Surplus (E&S) business. As president of XL Catlin’s multi-line E&S operation in the U.S., he will direct regional underwriting operations, product distribution and development as well as strategic growth plans.
Oh joins XL Catlin with more than 25 years of underwriting and management experience most recently serving as president of Chubb Custom Market. Throughout his career at Chubb, Oh has held numerous leadership positions in underwriting and field operations.
Based in New York, Oh reports to Joe Tocco, chief executive of XL Catlin’s Americas region.
Through Indian Harbor Insurance Co. and Catlin Specialty Insurance Co., XL Catlin offers property, primary casualty, umbrella, excess casualty, primary auto and excess auto insurance on an excess and surplus basis from four regional underwriting hubs in Chicago, New York; Scottsdale, Arizona; and Exton, Pennsylvania.
