The Hartford’s Berner Joins Allied World’s Public D&O Team

Allied World Assurance Co. has appointed Marc Berner to its North American Public Directors and Officers (D&O) underwriting team. Berner will be based in New York in the role of vice president, Public and Private Financial Institutions, D&O.

Berner has almost 20 years of experience with management liability insurance, most recently as the department head, Financial Services Division, for Hartford Financial Products, where he had national responsibility for underwriting executive liability and fidelity lines for financial institutions and private equity firms. He joined The Hartford in 2012. Prior to that, he spent eight years as vice president, Financial Institutions Division, at Axis Insurance.
