McPhillips Named Head of U.S. Primary Casualty at Aspen

Aspen Insurance has appointed Sean McPhillips as senior vice president, head of U.S. Primary Casualty.

Based in New York and reporting to David Cohen, president and chief underwriting officer, Aspen Insurance, McPhillips will lead the planning, strategy and execution of the Primary Casualty operation throughout the U.S.

McPhillips joined Aspen Insurance in early 2016 as vice president, Primary and Excess Casualty. Prior to Aspen, he most recently served as vice president and head of Primary Casualty for CapSpecialty, where he launched the department.
