In a statement, Tesla Motors Inc said, “Based on the information we have now, we have no reason to believe that Autopilot had anything to do with this accident.”

In another article, the whiteness of the trailer pulled by the truck caused the camera and computer to not be able to distinguish between the trailer and the sky making the car blind to the fact that the truck and trailer had just pulled in front of it. Could have been bad reporting by the other article (the press truly sucks nowadays) or Tesla is lying through their teeth. Welcome to the new and improved and transparent Auto company led by the trustworthy Elon Musk.

Apparently, they are as trustworthy as a Progressive Democrat trying to explain their position on anything. If they move their lips, they are lying.

Two different incidents – they are saying that the incident in PA did not involve auto pilot. The incident with the truck they said it did.

Another reason to stay away from autopilot cars for another 10-15 years at least.

Thanks Karen. Didn’t realize they were referring to yet another new incident. I admit to not knowing enough about this PA incident to know what fault there is. Another point to note. These Tesla cars are not autonomous self-driving cars. They are computer assisted accident avoidance cars. Big difference. Drivers cannot set the controls and go to sleep, although knowing people, some will.

Dave, one case I am aware of some years ago involved a woman setting her cruise control on her RV and went to make some coffee. It crashed of course, she sued and won.

That is a known false story. The fact you don’t know that or look into it shows a lot about you. I’ve next encountered a less knowledgeable person in any context. You know nothing about anything,it’s astounding.
