New Forecasting, Damage Assessment Tools Track Hurricane Matthew

    They need better forecasting tools to plot the path. Either they were forecasting poorly, or they were forecasting the path to scare as many people as they could in the USA.

      Jack, I learn something new every day. I didn’t know that a light drone could fly into a hurricane with 140 MPH winds. The C-130’s they have been using have trouble doing that.

    Hurricanes are not exactly as predictable as we’d like them to be. I guess I don’t look at it as scaring Americans but advising them to be prepared for the worst and making an effort to preserve human life. Unlike tornadoes and straight line winds, hurricanes give us indications of where they are likely to hit and with what force. I personally think it’s good to put all who may be impacted on notice.
