Robert L. Cohen, chairman and chief executive officer of The IMA Financial Group Inc., in Denver, Colo., has been elected as 2017 chairman of The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers.
He succeeds Bill D. Henry, chief executive officer of MHBT/MMA Southwest Region in Dallas.
Since becoming CEO, IMA has grown by more than $100 million in revenue and increased its footprint nationally, according to the company.
As chairman of CIAB, Cohen leads a team of officers including Vice Chairman David L. Eslick, chairman and chief executive officer, Marsh & McLennan Agency, New York; Treasurer Martin P. Hughes, chairman and chief executive officer, Hub International, Chicago, Ill.; and Secretary David O. Becker, president and chief executive officer, Cottingham & Butler Inc., Dubuque, Iowa.
