Fastest growing could lead to fastest falling.

These lead generating companies are horrible. Pretty much sell cold calling marketing lists to desperate agents…. but I guess there is still a market. Coffee is for closers, right?

I get emails all the time on my “junk” wanting to sell the leads. I fell for one of them one time which was promoted by one of my carriers. It was a joke and money ill spent. Old info, prospects weren’t even where they said they were and businesses out of business.

The everquote site is BS. It does not actually show you any quotes, just harvests your info and provides links to insurer sites, where you have to re-type in most of the info anyway. Not a very useful solution and counter to their supposed service offering.

I tried this because the concept sounds good (similar to how airline content is aggregated); however, I just tried it (hesitating the entire time thinking I’m putting my info out there to be harassed). After completing all of the pages, I was then only given one option to select. When I selected it, I was routed to Progressive website which then required for me to re-enter all information with the exception of my name and zip code. Forget it! Now to fend off the emails and phone calls.
