Wow!!! Hartford seems to have changed from the days of Frahm et al, when it was command and control all the way down. Employees were seen as liabilities rather than assets. Long hours, low pay and harsh reviews was the mainstay. Underwriters had no authority, 90% had to go to Hartford for signoff, which, when it was given, was so full of subject to’s, it as unsellable.

I hope the youngen’s far better than I did.

The 23-year-old knew exactly what she was looking for after graduating…It wasn’t money, or even so much opportunity for advancement. “When I was interviewing and looking at where I wanted to start my career, the first things I’d look into was whether a company is environmentally and socially responsible.”

I get not wanting to work for a company that is socially irresponsible or has a poor reputation. And I do think “green” efforts should be encouraged.

…But come on, is this person serious??

Put me in a LEEDS platinum certified building with a 100% paperless company that uses repurposed equipment salvaged and restored using all organic non-toxic foraged materials and artisan toast breadommeliers, but salary and benefits are always going to win out.

Good one ExciteBiker. Do you reckon she is worried about Global Warming and rising seas in Hartford?

Oh boy, this article is sure to draw Agent. Two things he hates, Millennials and the Going Green movement.
