“Senate Health Bill in Jeopardy as 3 Republican Senators Pretend to Find Conscience”

Guaranteed they all cave with embarrassing caveats.

The true tale of the tape of this bill is that 15 million will lose coverage within the next 18 months, of which 5 or 6 million will be from those on employer health care plans.

But no worries, lower income people will save an estimated $180 in taxes, so they will definitely have enough for any health care expenditures that come up.

“What’s that, a pain in your chest? Angina? Looks like you don’t have insurance, so just cut a baby aspirin in half and call me in the morning. Don’t forget to pay the nurse on your way out, just $180 is all that’s owed today. You’re welcome.”

This bill does nothing to address out-of-control health expenditures, AND guts Medicaid and Medicare. It’s a one-two punch for low and middle-income families, but at least the rich will get a 2.5% tax cut…

Soooorry, but your talking points are all lies. The CBO is a biased-left organization that doesn’t have the technical skills to make projections they are publishing and have published regarding ACA. The Senators opposing the Senate version of AHCA will not cave because they were elected to repeal the ACA more so than to replace it. The Senate version of AHCA (I heard it was called ‘SAHCA’ for short, but can’t verify thru my sources in DC) is not a true repeal and carries far too many Socialist provisions for true Conservatives and Libertarians to support. For example, were Cruz to cave in, what would happen to his chances of re-election to the Senate, or for a future run for the WH?

But, please show EVERYONE how CBO calculated poor people saving $180 in taxes, and tell EVERYONE what time period is covered by that amount.

Continue to publish your fantasies, socialist talking points and lies. I’ll continue to discredit them. It’s your turn to turn out the lights.

        Eddie Willers,

The Senate version is actually known from here on out as the CACA bill.

Cruz has no future in the White House, period.

The CBO is a non-partisan group, headed up by a GWB appointee.

Keep parroting those AM radio talking points, though. And watch out you don’t get left out in the desert.

The CBO morphed into a useless government bureaucracy, and whether or not GWB appointed the head matters not.

The CBO scored the ACA well. That’s all we need to know to discredit it permanently.

Further, the CBO score is invalidated by its own admission that the complexity of the economic systems involved in Health Care & Health Insurance can’t be modeled accurately. IOW, it was ‘going through the motions’ when it drew up its fiction about AHCA…. in order to try to justify its continuing existence, and for all employed there to keep their meaningless jobs.

I know people in the Fed govt and they would readily sustain what I just wrote.

TrumPresident should DISBAND the CBO and hire TRULY independent consultants who have expertise in the particular area. We in the insurance industry know of many such insurance consulting firms who could do a much better job of projecting SOME of the stats, ignore the random or overly complex measures, and do it much cheaper and quicker, with unbiased, clear explanations of what they are projecting.

The CBO’s projection of ’22 million losing coverage’ is so misleading and biased that it warrants discarding the entire report on that spin alone. Most of the 22 million will NOT CHOOSE TO BE COVERED AFTER THE MANDATES OF ACA NO LONGER APPLY. That is NOT ‘LOSS’… that is ‘restoration of FREEDOM OF CHOICE previously usurped by a tyrant and his Congressional minions’.

Nobody was forced to take insurance under the ACA. Not sure why that fact is so soundly ignored.

            The tyrannical dilemma:

            “Can I have coverage?”
“Are you a living breathing human being?”
            “Yes”
            “Then, yes”
“What if I don’t want it?”
“Then we will remove insurance tax credits, which you will be required to pay on your federal return?”
            “But it is my choice?”
“yes, you have FREEDOM OF CHOICE. Our Tyrant-in-Chief is apparently a pretty nice guy”

Are you aware, genius, that biased does not mean not in agreement with you individually?

You decide based on what best fits the narrative that fits your preferences. You don’t want to help others, even if it’s cheaper to do so, therefore anything that goes against that goal is biased in your mind. Why pretend to be taking this seriously or know policy, or have your super-secret, always wrong sources? Just say you don’t agree with helping others and don’t care about costs, at least then you would be closer to honest.

“No one was forced to take insurance under ACA.”
Correct. Citizens who pay taxes had the option to insure or pay a tax penalty and get NO insurance coverage, with escalating tax penalties for non-compliance under the “Shared Responsibility” component of a 1040 return.

SOME people paid a penalty and go nothing in return.
OTHERS opted to pay premiums and got miserable, almost entirely useless insurance coverage with hyuuuuge deductibles.
            OTHERS got FREE insurance.
            NON-CITIZENS got free coverage.

Now, the RAHCA proposes Illegal Immigrants get nothing, and those who did not WANT coverage despite SOME of them opting to take it rather than take less economically useful options can opt to NOT insure and NOT incur a tax penalty under “Shared Responsibility”.

The lesson Dems will soon learn is that “Shared Responsibility” will take on an altogether different meaning going forward under Republican’s SENSIBLE, Constitutionally correct approach to Health Care and Health Insurance options in the free market and under Medicare and Medicaid. And NO spinning of the legislation proposed by corrupt Grandpa from Vermont or corrupt Squaw from Massachusetts will stop the Will of The People to escape the death spiral of ACA.

PS: 15 million won’t LOSE coverage, they’ll CHOOSE NO COVERAGE instead of being forced by law to but coverage. I call that freedom from an ACA shakedown.

PS#2: The rich won’t get money from the poor; they’ll just not have to pay a part of their money the Socialists wanted them to pay, to get votes for Socialist/ Communists.

PS#3: millions more won’t die due to Republican actions in Congress. But some people will die due to mortality factors. Democrats / Socialists / Communists cannot guarantee immortality; e.g. see Lenin’s Tomb.

Talk about hyperbole and we all know what you think about people arguing from that point of view. To quote, “you lost the argument.” So, I guess you lose. But, for sake of accuracy, integrity, and honesty, people who depend on certain care and prescriptions they are currently receiving under the PPACA are going to lose that care with this Republican anti-healthcare bill. And, without that care, they’ll just have to hurry up and die, right? Not exactly what your dear leader touted on the campaign trail. He actually was sounding a bit like a socialist, promising care, food rations, clothes, and maybe even jobs to everyone. That’s your guy’s words, not mine. Yyyyyuge, flashy, neon words.

Nope; no spin. The SAHCA bill will move closer to a free market solution because the vote has been pushed back until AFTER Independence Day, when Senators can reflect on the words FREEDOM, RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES, and TRUTH. That will push them closer to a FREE MARKET solution that carries many if not all of the essential criteria I’ve mentioned several times; i.e. HEALTH CARE SPPECIFICCS.

I’d like to remind all of his supporters what BLOATUS said back on the campaign trail:

“On the first day of presidency, on my very first day I plan to repeal Obamacare so hard that it’ll make his ancestors in Africa shiver with awe. I mean, I am going to take that piece of legislation and wipe my a** with it. That’s how much I dislike Obamacare and what I think about it. By the way, that’s also how I feel about Ted Cruz, but that’s not the point right now,” Trump said jokingly, causing Stephanopoulos to laugh.

“Seriously though,” the billionaire businessman continued, “that’s what I plan on doing. And then first thing in the morning on day two, I’m going to replace it with a much better service that’s genuinely going to take care of every poor person in the United States. I’m talking daily food rations, clean clothes, a place to spend the night, possibly new jobs, it’s all going to be awesome, it’s going to be utopia. I’m going to make it so good that people are going to want to become homeless just to qualify for Trumpcare. And by the way, that’s what I’m going to call it. A huge, flashy neon sign is going to be placed above the entrance to every Trumpcare facility across the country. I want people to know who made it possible for them to have a better life.”

No. Because they cannot even get their own party to agree. In my opinion, and based on their actions, I have the sense that the Republicans have been putting on a show for their supporters and really do not want to put their names to a replacement. They have expressed the desire to sabotage the PPACA, let it fail, lose their majorities in Congress, then let the Democrats come in to save the day.

Where is this great deal maker we were promised?
Where was the repeal of the PPACA on day 1 we were promised?
Where is the replacement on day 2 we were promised?
Where is this great health care at a tiny fraction of the cost?
He told us it would be sooooo easy.

Planet, that’s fake news. In reality he’s a big hit and beloved by all. I read about it in an odd looking Time magazine at his golf club which looked suspiciously homemade, but he wouldn’t do that because he’s honest and not insane.

But since a place reported that he used fake magazine covers he came out today in favor of taxing them additionally, which is about as authoritarian and corrupt as you can get. Too bad for him he can’t just grab their genitals and threaten to sue them like with everybody else.

            “Booooooooo! Facts hurt me! booooooooooo!”

Like, seriously, UW, you literally used nothing but facts in your statement, but that is apparently too much for some people to handle.

You voted for the piece of human garbage, support him, warts and all. Don’t shy away because someone brought up how absolutely shameless and terrible he is.

That fake Time cover looks so fake it is ridiculous. How they thought that could pass for a real cover just makes me crack up.

He’s an Incompetent, not a deal maker. Look at the Carrier deal the village idiots were here circle jerking over. They just shipped the jobs away, counted jobs they weren’t planning on shipping away, and kept millions of dollars from the government to automate the jobs they sent away. But, he got the permanent PR bump with the idiots so it’s a positive for him and he will probably do it again, and it will work again because all his supporters care about are what they are rules to repeat. They will be told it was great and will treat it as such, regardless of reality.

They will say Obama was bad for jobs, the BS and all other groups with data are liberal and biased, and cheer Trump paying companies to ship away jobs even though he was supposed to be punishing them.

@Ron; your comments about TrumPresident not doing things he said he’d do in a few months is akin to the person who sounds their car horn a split second after the traffic light turns green and the car(s) in front of them haven’t yet cleared the intersection or even accelerated.

          Good things take time.

I’m not getting tired of winning yet.

i45 can’t spell or read. When he said “winning”, he was reading his teleprompter. It said, “We gonna whine so much, you might even get tired of whining.” But, because he can’t read, he said winning.

Shipping jobs over borders, demeaning tweets to morning show hosts, constant lying to the American people, stripping away the freedom of the press – this is what makes America great again?

The man is an 11 year old. Small hands, shriveled up cojones, and has to be involved in every fight he’s invited to. Doesn’t even know a high road exists, let alone how to get there and take it. So far, and it’s early, but he’s worse the Dubya. He has no clue how to be presidential. He should just return to TV, coveting his own daughter, and assaulting women. That’s what he does best.

            Polar,

You seem desperate. Really, pal. You seem as confused, unhinged and sociopathic as your orange Lord. Alex Jones has really dug his claws deep in you, hasn’t he? This is all far, far too poetic to ignore. Comedy or tragedy? Can’t decide.

I think it’s about 50/50 whether Polaron believes in Jones’ latest theory about NASA child sex slaves on Mars. We know it’s a Birther. He probably believed the Comet Pizza story. All pushed by an organization Trump and Polar trust.

You’re being quite generous low-balling it at 50/50.

I would be willing to bet that every single disproven Republican-started conspiracy theory has been believed, supported, and endorsed by him.

The real kicker is, once disproven, he doesn’t disavow those obviously fake notions in his heart. I bet if you ever swam around those firing synapses in his skull, a ton would still connect “Obama” to “Kenya”, “Hillary” to “Butcher of Benghazi”, “Republicans” to “Fiscally Sound”, and “Trump” to “Large-handed, business genius.”
