For those wondering how talc could cause cancer who have not read the September 28, 2017 article: Apparently talc and asbestos are mined from the same type of rock strata and talc ore can contain asbestos. J&J says that they have tested their talc for asbestos but older tests were not accurate enough to determine that there was no asbestos in the talc that was mined for J&J’s product. Granted, there are other companies that have sold talc for years, but J&J is the best known and largest. I don’t know how much of this is true science versus “junk” science, but how much J&J knew, when they knew it, and how rigorously they tested for asbestos in their product is probably a matter of fact for some court to look into.
Can anyone say “Frivolous” lawsuit?
