Digital small business insurer Attune has named Martha Dreiling as head of Analytics and Corporate Operations and Richard E. Stamets as head of Underwriting Strategy.
Dreiling oversees Attune’s analytics, people and corporate functions. Stamets is responsible for Attune’s underwriting strategies and portfolio of insurance offerings.
Prior to joining Attune, Dreiling served as senior vice president of Operations at OnDeck, an online lender for small businesses where she worked with James Hobson, Atune’s CEO. While at OnDeck, she built the company’s functions for collections, credit operations, customer service, quality assurance, and fraud prevention and detection. Dreiling was a member of the executive committee and the management team that took OnDeck public in 2014.
Stamets served most recently as vice president and head of Small Business at Starr, leading the direct-to-consumer and broker business. During his almost 30-year career in the insurance industry, he has held positions at AIG, CNA, Chubb and Hamilton USA.
Attune is backed by American International Group, Hamilton Insurance Group and Two Sigma Investments. When Brian Duperreault, former Hamilton CEO left Hamilton to become CEO at AIG, AIG agreed to acquire the tech-focused commercial lines platform Hamilton USA and to help Attune expand. Earlier this week, AIG announced it is renaming Hamilton USA as Blackboard.
