Yes, go ahead, Miami! Build more stuff on the beach so it will flood out during storms. Americans outside of flood plains won’t know any better, and will continue to support your selfishness. They will pay taxes to the Federal Govt to subsidize your property insurance via the NFIP. And, that will continue until proper information is published and The People are properly educated about flood plains and the wealth transfer accomplished via NFIP.

Polar, if you look at the picture, looks like the seas are already receding. The rest of the country is already in the first throws of Global Cooling. Miami shouldn’t be that concerned about rising seas. Just the very occasional hurricane and the Zika virus next spring and summer.

“Polar, if you look at the picture, looks like the seas are already receding.” Or it’s becoming low tide.

Get used to low tide since the ocean is re-freezing as we speak.

So, Miami gets hammered by Andrew and accepts the fact that they have been and will always be hurricane prone, but its Climate Change that’s prompting them to address their high-water issues.
One wonders if they would have continued to ignore 20ft storm-surge potential if “Climate Change” hadn’t “arrived”.

Dave, whenever it extreme cold, it is weather, when it is heat, it is Global Warming/Climate Change according to the hoaxers.

The climate change hoaxers are the deniers, plain and simple. Any actual climate scientist will tell you – weather = day-to-day state of atmosphere. Climate = weather of a place over an extended period of time, typically 30+ years

The weather of our planet is undergoing substantial change. Hence, climate change. Thanks for trying out!

    What nonsense.

“Finally, the building has pumps for the garage, so if it does flood, the water won’t stay there for long.”

Where is the water being pumped TO; offshore? Pump it out onto an already flooded roadway and all you end up doing is cycling the water.

What they need (like holes in their heads) are car elevators to lift their luxo-barges up to the apartments.
