QBE North America has named Daniel Franzetti as chief operating officer.
Franzetti continues his role as chief claims officer for QBE North America. He will add to these claims responsibilities by overseeing all North American operations, systems, architecture, communications and branding. He will remain a member of the QBE North America executive management board, reporting to QBE North America Chief Executive Officer Russell Johnston.
QBE said the combined role reflects QBE North America’s strategy “as an integrated specialist insurer.”
Franzetti is succeeding Robert (Bob) James in the COO role. James is now group head of Transformation for QBE.
Franzetti has 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before joining QBE North America, Franzetti was chief claims officer for Zurich Australia Insurance Limited and senior vice president, leading Zurich’s Claims Technical Shared Services in North America.
