The same thing that happened to the 2.2 million railroad workers in the 1920s. They will eventually move to other industries. It isn’t going to happen overnight, and the median age of truck drivers is like 55. Most of them will be retiring by the time all of this occurs. This will do more to solve the demographic problem of re-filling those seats than take jobs away.

How many retail stores are closing? Sears, Kmart, Payless Shoes, ToysRus, etc. Maybe brick and mortar is dying in your area but in mine it is.

Driverless trucks present a huge danger to everyone on the road. If a sensor fails or the truck is hacked, carnage will ensue and huge lawsuits.
