The US Senate has again kicked the can down the road as regards The NFIP reforms that the House approved to save it temporarily and reduce it to the point it is replaced by private insurance to leave only a true safety net for risks who cannot quickly mitigate their risk and migrate out of flood zones. Sigh. Swamps cannot be drained completely if the elderly, entrenched swamp creatures in the US Senate (McConnell, Schumer, McCain, Warren, etc) aren’t purged from the DC Swamp.
