American International Group, Inc. announced that Anthony Vidovich will join the company as chief claims officer for General Insurance, effective May 14, 2018.
In this role, Vidovich will be responsible for claims governance and policy, settlement authorities, handling and global best practices. Vidovich will report to Peter Zaffino, chief executive officer, General Insurance, and will serve as a member of the General Insurance Executive Leadership Team.
Vidovich is joining AIG from XL Catlin, where he served as global head of Claims, Insurance & Reinsurance, since 2015. Previously, he was XL’s general counsel for insurance claims. Prior to XL, he was associate general counsel for Commercial Markets at The Hartford (2006-2014) after serving as assistant general counsel for Reinsurance. Earlier in his career, Vidovich was an attorney at Blank Rome in Philadelphia, where he practiced corporate litigation with a primary focus on property/casualty and life and health insurers.
