Hey MGM, your employee helped the shooter with his multiple boxes and bags of guns and ammo. Sheriff Dept also should be sued for hiding in the hallway while the shooting was going on. Another version of the Broward coward.
Good for MGM. Forgive my bluntness but I’m tired of attorneys taking advantage of traumatized people, like finding a deep pocket to point the finger at is some kind of therapeutic experience. Why don’t they sue the shooter? Oh right he has nothing worth suing for. So who else can we sue? What if it wasn’t the MGM? What if it was a bed-and-breakfast owned by a sweet old lady. Would you still be blaming her for the psycho who rented a room? What do you want? Background checks on people who want to stay in your hotel? Psychological profiles? Armed military snipers on every rooftop with satellite surveillance? Something would still happen and you’d still sue them for not doing enough. Hey, I know, lets force all American citizens (illegals are exempt for some reason) to undergo checks and screenings before they are allowed to be in public. They’ll have to carry around their papers, proving they’re not dangerous and produce them on demand. Actually on second thought that sounds like a terrible place to live. So maybe we just ask hotels to make a reasonable, good-faith effort and not need someone to sue whenever something bad happens. If they really phoned it in and didn’t even make a decent attempt at safety, sure, then you can sue them.
Bad for MGM. They should be sold and another chain brought in to run it. Apparently, they paid off the Sheriff Dept for not revealing what went on there.
So who is next, the company they hired that is certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security?
