Bermuda-based specialty insurer Ascot has created a trade credit insurance division with the appointments of Doug Collins as executive vice president of Trade Credit and Anthony Barrett as senior vice president of Trade Credit.
Collins, who will lead all aspects of Ascot’s U.S. trade credit business, has been in the industry for more than 20 years, having spent the last 14 with Atradius, most recently serving as head of Risk Services for the Americas. Prior to that, he held trade credit roles at American International Group in North America and Asia, after starting his trade credit career with Trade Indemnity Canada.
Barrett is a 33-year veteran of the trade credit insurance industry, most recently spending four years as senior vice president and head of multi-buyer trade credit at Zurich North America. He also previously spent 10 years at Atradius in North America.
