After 30 years at brokerage Marsh, George Parks is joining The Hartford to become head of sales and field operations for national accounts in the insurer’s Specialty Commercial business.
Parks will oversee national accounts client management and retention, new client acquisition and broker relationships. He will also directly lead the field managing directors, developing and executing on marketing, branding and distribution strategies and building partnerships with underwriting, claims, risk engineering, service operations, third party administrator services and other partners.
Park will report to Ross Fisher, head of Specialty Commercial.
Prior to joining The Hartford, Parks spent his entire career at Marsh. Most recently he was the U.S. Casualty Practice sales leader, a post he assumed in 2016. Prior to this post, he was New England Partnership Sales Leader for six years and Northeast Zone Casualty leader from 1988-2010.
