Burns & Wilcox to Offer Cybersecurity Services Through BreachAware

Burns & Wilcox has formed an exclusive partnership with London-based BreachAware, a cybersecurity company specializing in data breach research and analysis.

This risk management program will serve as an extension of the cyber products and services offered by Burns & Wilcox and will allow commercial clients to better understand their exposure to compromised credentials, providing a proactive approach that can reduce the risk of compromise. The addition of this service could also lead to more favorable cyber insurance premiums for buyers.

BreachAware is a proprietary risk mitigation tool that scans the web 24/7 and identifies compromised assets such as company email addresses, passwords, and personally identifiable information linked to employees of an organization. The tool can help to reduce the likelihood of account compromise and warns users of phishing attacks through instant, action-oriented alerts when new data is discovered.

David Derigiotis, corporate vice president, National Professional Liability Practice leader, Burns & Wilcox, said the partnership with BreachAware allows it to pair cybersecurity and monitoring services with its specialty insurance products. Brokers and agents can offer their clients the BreachAware option to improve security, regardless if they have a cyber Insurance product, he added.
