If Long worked for the Union, and then went out an spoke to large groups of people about how Unions are unfair, they would have canned him.
Amazon declined NY because of a lack of concessions on taxes and other items, not because of the union organizers.
Simple case of another person looking for easy money, hoping Amazon throws nuisance money at him and his lawyer.

A lot of states are at-will states, and in that case, a person can be fired for any reason and sometimes no reason at all. Many times that reason is disguised under something else. A safety infraction, coming in late, having to leave early (even if in the case of emergency), minor customer complaint, etc. is used when the real reason is political discord, protest, joining a union, sexuality, gender identity, religion, other equal opportunity violations, or the boss is just a jackass and fired you because you complained to corporate about /them/.

I have seen and heard about these things several times over.

I also know that there are three sides to every story, their story, corporate story, and the truth. It is our job as readers, consumers, and rational human beings to sift through their story and corporate’s story to find the truth of the matter without allowing our emotions or personal experience drive that bus.
