The Hanover Insurance Group is debuting a digital platform to help independent agents acquire new small business customers including freelancers, contractors and other self-employed professionals.
Calleed Insurago, the platform runs on technology from the digital agency CoverWallet, using analytics to make buying insurance easy. The process, from start to finish, can be finished less than 15 minutes. Agents’ customers can view and print their policies and download insurance certificates online through the platform.
For its initial launch, Hanover’s Insurago will offer professional liability insurance for more than 100 classes of business including consultants, IT contractors, fitness professionals and allied healthcare professionals.
Insurago allows agents to personalize the process by placing their own link on their agency website or social medial channels and it also lets customers interact with their agent.
Agents will be able to direct interested professionals to their website or social media channels to issue insurance policies through Insurago.
