Global broker Aon has promoted Aon veteran Tim Ronda to president of its U.S. Reinsurance Solutions business. He is based in New York.
As president, he succeeds George deMenocal, CEO of U.S. Reinsurance Solutions, who has also been serving as president for the past three years.
“This will enable me to invest more time as CEO to continue to build and grow our operations, achieve our business targets in priority lines and ensure Aon United is deeply activated across the firm,” said deMenocal.
Ronda’s 23-year career includes, most recently, acting as executive managing director based in New York, and as branch manager for the New York/New Jersey region. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, he was a senior vice president at Guy Carpenter, where he worked with several of its largest East Coast and Bermuda-based property/casualty clients.
Ronda’s areas of reinsurance expertise include property, management liability, errors & omissions liability, employment practices liability, general liability, excess liability and workers’ compensation.
Andy Marcell, CEO of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions, said Ronda will be joining the firm’s Reinsurance Solutions global Executive Committee.
