Your personal attacks on people you don’t know shows your inability to defend the indefensible. You turned an article on corruption into another attack on Trump. You have NO intention whatsoever to discuss insurance, which violates comment page rules.

LOL your post makes sense if you just ignore literally every other post we’ve interacted with. I literally made a statement based on fact, I pointed out why I believed it, why is that an insult? I post about insurance all the time, it’s just the only articles you pay attention to are the ones dealing with partisan issues. I actually love my job, and I’m good at it. I know it helps you to assume you know everything about me while chiding me for thinking I know everything (LOL) but I’ve actually offered clear responses many times, you just refuse to respond to those. Probably because you have no actual evidence to back your heinous beliefs.

Nice try at that straw man tactic though LOL

        Jon,

Your posts that you say fight back against the likes of Jack, and Craig, and Polar are no better than those you say are so horrible with their comments. You are just as and in some cases more so rude and degrading. I am by no means fans of any of them but you like to point out their hypocrisy when you do the exact same things. I have seen posts where you are just as rude and insulting as they can be. I have seen posts where you prod them claiming they use a “nuh uh” defense but I have seen you post responses similarly. Watching the back and forth between Captain and Rosenblatt and Polar and Craig use to be entertaining but since you starting interjecting and become SO overly rude and just mean I barely want to read much less post anymore for fear of another attack from you because my intelligence level is nowhere near yours (in your opinion). I understand wanting to give your opinion and to justify why you feel that way on a topic and I get wanting others that disagree to justify the things they say but why do you have to become so middle/high school bullyish doing so? There have been times where my thoughts have not matched yours but you made some very valid arguments that caused me to think about my position, however lately it is nothing to toxicity that comes from you. Why is it so hard to be adults and share thoughts and opinions and agree to disagree and if someone is pushing buttons then ignore and move on…….but maybe that is just my simpleton way of thinking……..

Sak, I have never made any secret of my intentions. In fact, my intentions are what Bob has a problem with. I am taking the fight fire with fire approach. This board, which I actually enjoy from time to time, is constantly flooded with a small minority who insist on being the loudest voice in the room. I merely take their exact same argument style and serve it back to them. Except I’m better at it than they are. I’ve been arguing with people on the internet since before Windows 95. I grew up with this game.

I will almost always respond with my logic, or provide evidence. I very often will post evidence that the previously mentioned types just stop responding to, or claim that it’s liberal media, or make up some other excuse. Or they have no argument, so they just turn insulting. Those are the times when I just go full-steam into responding in turn, and again, I’m just better at it than they are. Everything I do follows a logical pragmatic course. I will say it is unfortunate if my back and forth with them has created that wall for you against enjoying IJ, and I apologize for that. Until they stop trying to turn every single article into a political argument screaming about the liberals and how climate change is fake, I’m going to keep at it. Look at the most recent climate change article, I engaged someone, actually tried to look at the insurance angle of the article and the challenges it might present to our industry. Ten minutes later, Polar posted garbage claiming man-made climate change is a hoax. I would plead with you to consider another side. Maybe your own personal bias’ or political beliefs have allowed you to tolerate Craig and Polar, but for some of us they’re doing the very thing you’re accusing me of, making this website intolerable.

I’m entirely open and willing to have a civil discussion on almost any matter. The issue comes from the usual knuckleheads who start with the insulting comments, then can’t handle it when it’s fired back at them x 10. It’s they who post blatant misinformation as fact and then when confronted by the truth go silent. They’re the ones calling me out for veering off of the subject of insurance, and on the very next article trying to turn it back into a political conversation. For those people, the middle-school approach is all that works. Plus, in my defense, it’s been pretty funny. Have you seen some of the stuff CP has been posting? Or helpingout? It’s been pretty delightful lately as far as humor goes.

I can’t speak for Jon, but I will say this – If Fred hires one guy that is corrupt, no that isn’t Fred’s fault. If Fred hires several people that are corrupt, or inept, or woefully unqualified, then yes that is Fred’s fault.

The phrase “lack of institutional control” comes to mind.

Well… kind of nailed it. We all work with Workers Comp, it’s one of those underwriting questions you see on supplementals all the time “Are supervisors held responsible for accidents?” It’s on there because people who are held responsible tend to care a little more. Clearly the man in charge doesn’t care in the slightest, because no matter what he does his fan-base has fanatical levels of devotion.

Your president literally put children in cages in great numbers (don’t even follow with the BS about Obama doing it, we all know Trump changed the laws to make it happen in record numbers leading to the child camp hell we now have) got caught paying off a pornstar he had an affair with and lies through his teeth daily. You can literally bet in Vegas on how many lies his speeches will have, but you’re still trying to act like Obama didn’t do anything good. We weren’t a joke under Obama, for one. You call out left wing commenters for things you let right wing commenters pass on, even when the right-wing commenters are being horribly offensive, hypocritical or outright false. Your actions speak to the cowardice and hypocrisy of the right, even while you continue to claim to be left-leaning.

It sounds like IJ is totally comfortable with the spreading of misinformation in regards to it’s article content, but pointing out that the information someone is posting is actually false isn’t allowed because it’s unrelated to the topic? I’m having difficulty following the logic. I get that sometimes my posts are targeting specific users, as their posts often target myself, but this particular instance is a head-scratcher.

I’m not going to click that link because it’s partisan nonsense generally, but your point on this article about FEMA officials is the father of a student killed in a massacre is pro gun. Is that it? This guy has written a book and is marketing it to the fox news crowd. It’s sad and desperate to use the death of a child to try and make your living as a novelist, but that’s all this is. It isn’t relevant to the conversation, the article or anything else. But hey, crazy is gonna crazy, right Jack?
