This unfortunately seems like the wheelchair claims we were seeing a few years back. I know I’ve seen a couple of these already going after smaller clients, it’s unfortunate that it’s going to lead to a lot of frivolous lawsuits.
I actually think he was being facetious in this case and not directly attacking you, even possibly AGREEING with you (note to self: Check to see if Hell is experiencing a snowstorm). Your post had a borderline “conservative” approach to it, in that it was against frivolous lawsuits, and Craig’s response was to mock the standard outrage that comes with it when you have a situation like this. He even apologized to my buddy Rosenblatt yesterday, which was honestly pretty honorable. Good on you, Craig.
Just my interpretation. I could be wrong. I’m probably wrong, but that’s OK, because doggone it, people like me. At least, my mom likes me. She told me that I’m the handsomest boy at my company.
Hearing that Craig agrees with me made my skin crawl. It is literally making me rethink my position on this matter. I mean I get it, we don’t want the blind or disabled to be marginalized. There are scenarios where this is the case and we cannot treat the disabled like they’re all scammers. This is one particular instance where I have personally seen scammers trying to win frivolous lawsuits, we have several going on against our clients as one gentleman is targeting a specific industry here in California. Having said that, I don’t think it helps anyone the way Craig is acting about it. You can discuss an issue without being insulting, which is something Craig has great difficulty in achieving.
yeah, but what it…and I mean WHAT IF, .LIKE A REALLY, REALLY BIG WHAT IF…You and Craig really AREN’T all that different? Maybe you just have different opinions about things but overall you both just want what’s best for this country and your loved ones, even if your definitions of that are different? What if you’re BOTH just really passionate about your beliefs, to the point where you’re willing to fight with someone you’ve never actually met in person, but you’re BOTH actually decent people?
Heck, what do I know? I’m just happy to have a place that pays me consistently and a family that somewhat tolerates me on a semi-regular basis. If i can get a few chuckles or smiles out of my friends or a random stranger now and then, that’s a plus.

I want to stress that we should always consider the needs of the disabled, and generally a decision like this would be a good thing. This is just a particular instance where I have seen a number of frivolous lawsuits within my brokerage. I do not subscribe to the Cornell-type of victim blaming.
