Mixed feelings on this one. While certainly hotels are a location for this horrible crime to occur, I don’t think there is justification to say they “provide a marketplace” for sex trafficking. It’s a horrible despicable crime, and I think the hotel industry should absolutely be working with authorities to train their staff for warning signs but to expect them to compensate victims is ridiculous. It’s deep pockets exposure because they have insurance. We can only hope abuse/molestation exclusions will hold up.

GenXUW should take off the rose-colored glasses. This trafficking has been going for many years. We’ve all seen it. We just denied that we saw it. The hotels/motels know only too well that it is a big part of their income. They just looked the other way. It’s about time they were called to account.
