Remember when the conservative right wouldn’t shut up about this, blaming marijuana and trying to claim THC was the root cause of these losses? Yeah, I bet they don’t love being reminded that they are wrong about things sometimes. A harsh reality that the right seems to try and ignore time and time again.
Vit-E is used by users of THC. Other vaping products do not use Vit-E. Hence, the words ‘in conjunction’. Without THC, there would be no need for the Vit-E.
No, I don’t. That wasn’t what people were claiming. Liberals use of Straw Man arguments about this issue is center stage.
Here is the key point that you ignored so as to go directly to (a Straw Man Argument posture) claiming you are right and the conservatives are wrong:
” Vitamin E acetate has been used as a cutting agent in e-liquids containing THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, often in illicit products. ”
Your inability to accept the fact that the Vitamin E is used in CONJUNCTION WITH THC is amazingly hypocritical given your OP in this comment section. Maybe you would better understand it if I used the word ‘conspiracy’ or ‘collusion’ in place of ‘conjunction’?
Some are so quick to decide that they do not see the details clearly. If not for the THC being too dense, there would be no need for the (allegedly) toxic Vitamin E. Hence, the THC was not found to be toxic, but using it in vaping devices apparently requires the use of a toxic diluting (‘cutting’) agent, Vitamin-E.
Whether or not vaping product firms can find a safe substitute for Vitamin-E remains to be seen.
“Hence, the THC was not found to be toxic, but using it in vaping devices apparently requires the use of a toxic diluting (‘cutting’) agent, Vitamin-E.”
If this statement was true, it would ignore many years of marijuana flowers being vaped on their own without a ‘cutting’ agent which resulted in no vaping-related issues which only occured when Vitamin-E was added to the product.
Or the fact that this same “cutting agent” has been used in nicotine products that also caused the same illnesses and deaths. Agent and Yogi are so off base on this topic, the pitcher could throw with his off arm and they’d still have no chance of getting back safely in time.

Yes, it is verifiable. Vaping flowers only has never caused a single lung injury or death. This illness/death has only been sprung by e-cig devices with Vit E acetate.

You can’t, because vaping devices do not require the use of a toxic diluting agent. You cannot prove your statement, but you’re now requiring someone prove theirs because they’re refuting your argument. Try to actually learn something before you open your mouth about it, you don’t know what you’re talking about here. You want to obfuscate the truth with misinformation and then yell when people call you out for it.

Jon,
He doesn’t get it. He thinks first of all, legal cartridges need Vit E acetate. They do not. It’s the illegal cartridges, including nicotine ones, that are having this solution added. Secondly, he doesn’t understand that for decades, people have literally been putting the flower, nothing else, in a device and flipping a switch. This generates a vapor they inhale. When finished, the flower in still in tact. People chose this method because they didn’t like the carcinogens from smoking it. He also doesn’t understand that when I research “deaths/illnesses from vaping flowers only”, there aren’t any results. And, the fact, this proves my point.
Again, I don’t partake, but I do hate all the misinformation people spread out here and they must be held accountable.

From the last link in the article { statement }:
FDA, CDC and state health authorities have made progress in identifying substances of concern; however, there are many different substances and product sources that remain under investigation, and there may be more than one cause.
“…MAY BE MORE THAN ONE CAUSE.”
Hence no one should draw any absolute conclusions on the non-toxicity of THC vaping or other forms of ingestion…. or other ‘substances of concern’.
From the HEADLINE Of the article: Vaping Lung Injury Cases Down; Link to Vitamin E Acetate Reinforced
You’ve been trying to pretend that the THC is to blame since the beginning of this crisis. You have been proven wrong, repeatedly. You keep trying to grasp at straws to double down on your fear-mongering. The THC is not at fault, the evidence says so, the fact that non THC vapes are also responsible says so. You are spreading misinformation.
Here’s where he starts to argue and wants us to prove that people have been vaping marijuana harmlessly for decades, because while he lacks knowledge about this substance entirely he’s committed to presenting himself as an expert on it’s dangers and uses.
