Acquisition further strengthens Insurity’s industry-leading data and analytics solutions, and will help insurers better select and manage risk, and respond to catastrophes
Cloud services and data analytics firm Insurity, Inc., has acquired SpatialKey, Inc., which offers geospatial analytics, data enrichment and risk intelligence services for the property/casualty insurance industry.
The acquisition was completed on Dec. 30, 2019. Terms were not disclosed.
Along with Insurity’s 2017 acquisition of Valen Analytics, the SpatialKey transaction broadens Insurity’s data and analytics offerings. Together, SpatialKey and Insurity aim to help insurers better select and manage risk and respond to catastrophes.
The combination brings together insured data, various expert data sources, and insurance-specific analytics and visualization.
Chris Lafond, CEO of Insurity, said the acquisition of SpatialKey will enable Insurity to expand its suite of data solutions.
Bret Stone, president of SpatialKey, said his firm now looks forward to the “extended value that we can now bring to both our clients and the broader insurance market.”
Hartford-based Insurity currently boasts having 250 clients globally, including 15 of the top 25 ;property/casualty carriers≥, as well as 200 cloud service clients. SpatialKey says more than 200 organizations use it services.
