Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) announced a pair of promotions in its Executive & Professional Lines Claims group, naming Shelby Rootenberg as senior vice president, head of U.S. Commercial Lines (Public) and Financial Institutions Claims, and Megan Scully as senior vice president, head of U.S. Commercial Lines (Private), Professional and Transactional Liability Claims.
Rootenberg came to BHSI in 2014 as assistant vice president and head of Financial Lines Claims. Prior to that, she spent over a decade in claims technical and management roles at CNA. She is based in BHSI’s New York office. Rootenberg received her law degree from Fordham University School of Law.
Scully joined BHSI in 2015 as vice president of Miscellaneous Professional Liability/Cyber and Private Company Claims. Before BHSI, she was a claims director at CNA. She is based in BHSI’s Chicago office. She received her law degree from Suffolk University Law School.
Boston-based BHSI provides commercial property, casualty, healthcare professional liability, executive and professional lines, transactional liability, surety, marine, travel, programs, accident and health, medical stop loss, homeowners, and multinational insurance.
