This is what you get when big government is involved in anything . . . bureaucracy, subjectivity, and eventually inertia, incompetence, and corruption.

Here’s an idea — everyone is essential. Decide on who is eligible as follows:

    1. Alphabetically, by state or county
    2. By zip code and assigning a QR code unique to all residents using property tax name/address information, or a similar list.
    3. Set up immunization stations at large venues where people can voluntarily come to get vaccinated with the appropriate ID — drive in, drive out.

If someone elects to not get vaccinated, move on to the next person . . . and if you snooze, i.e., miss your appointment or can’t decide to get vaccinated, you lose.

They should do it first on who voted. If you voted twice you have to get the vaccine twice. If a dead relative voted, then a resident in that address must get the vaccine, twice if they got it already. I’m still curious on the long term affects of the vaccine or if it really works. Plus I’m not sure I even heard yet which company’s vaccine it is. Really exciting to watch this take place. My vote is for politicians to get it first.

      Baxtor,
The problem with your closing statement is that someone would have to make the case that for politicians to receive the vaccine first, they would have to prove to be essential. To something. Anything. ;-)

Follow the WHO guidance by vaccinating those most vulnerable to virus in terms of life, not livelihood. At any time, all of us have an equal right to live.
