National General Holdings Corp., a specialty personal lines insurance holding company owned by Allstate, has expanded its private flood product, Beyond Floods, into 13 additional states.
The product offers coverage to homeowners with a focus on local, analytical, personalized flood coverage that is specific to the property. Beyond Floods is an AM Best A- rated private flood product, and is now available in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia, with plans to expand to additional states soon.
According to Mohan Rajasekar, senior vice president of flood insurance products, Beyond Floods analyzes over 200 data points on every property that details the property’s risk exposure to assist customers in picking the right flood product.
Chad LaTour, vice president of emerging markets, said agents can quote the product in three minutes or less with no elevation certificate required.
Beyond Floods also offers customers more personalized features than traditional NFIP policies, including higher limits, free property-specific flood reports, flexible payment options and more coverage to include loss of use, protection for basements, swimming pools, ramp decks and more.
