The NASW Risk Retention Group is a captive insurance company established to provide liability insurance for a specific group of policyholders who share a common interest, such as members of a professional association. The RRG is domiciled in Washington, D.C. where D.C. Department of Insurance, Securities, and Banking regulates it.

The professional liability coverage for social workers can cover: negligence or alleged negligence; legal defense costs; omissions or alleged omissions; claims and damages.

General liability policies can cover: bodily injury to another person; third-party property damage; personal and advertising injury; medical expenses.

Simply Business offers small businesses tailored insurance coverage online. The company began in the United Kingdom and expanded to the United States in 2017.
