I just received a letter dated 8/17/2021, from Gallagher explaining this breach that happened almost a year ago. They offer “Kroll” Identity monitoring for free for 2 years. My concerns are this happened a year ago and Kroll seams very suspicious. Bad reviews on BBB website. Can’t get any info from either company even though they contacted me. Luckily for me I have credit monitoring in place already. I am just worried that this is all a scam because an individual supposedly may be affected, and, then tries to get monitoring and gives out all that personal info anyway, to a company that can’t answer the how’s and why’s.

I just received my letter dated September 2, 2021, from Gallagher also explaining the breach. Its odd how they knew about it and yet, they finally send a letter. I don’t trust the site “Kroll”. I called the office and no one answered. Just a voice mail message. Gallagher is the company I went through the school district for my workmen comp., except that was over 15+ years. This is not good! I will check with my District Benefit Office, if they are involved with Gallagher. Thank you Diane for the update. Follow your instinct…it does sound suspicious.

I just received a letter. I’ve never had any relationship with Gallagher or Kroll and am wondering how someone accessed my data through them. I’m extremely hesitant to utilize any of the resources they recommend for obvious reasons but will def. monitor my credit. Given this happened so long ago and Gallagher was negligent in notifying us for so long, how do we enjoin the lawsuit?

RP says: I too received a letter and have nothing to do with Gallagher and also the letter was dated September 29,2021. I thought this was a scam until I read this on the computer that people wrote it happened to them too. I am wondering how GALLAGHER got my information to begin with.

I just received a letter today 9/18/21. It was in Spanish. I have idea how to read or speak Spanish. I have never used this company either. Kind of weird. Not sure what to do.

I also just received a letter of the data breach, but it is dated September 10, 2021! Why so long to notify us and how do we join in the class action lawsuit. This is totally irresponsible on their part to notify me almost a year later! WTH

I just received a letter about the data breach today, 10/2/2021. Rather substandard for a firm handling such detailed personal information on people. I’m not aware of having any relationship with this company but will implement all necessary precautions for now.

I received this scam letter from Gallagher. My name is misspelled; my street name is misspelled; my city is misspelled. That’s how I know that this is a total scam.

Having received several of these letters, all the same, I find it very odd that the name of the company I may have had business with is not mentioned, just some vague claims by this company. Surely if it were legit there would be a mention of all the companies this “insurance” company services that would have been affected. I find it odd, too, that this article seems to give it credence, yet IT TOO gives no indication of who the companies are that were involved. So, we just will go on protecting ourselves and see if maybe some day something hits the news that this is legitimate. So far, just seems to be in someone’s imagination OR box of tricks.

Reluctantly I am responding to this letter I received about Gallagher being hacked. Why would I jeopardize my identity to a Company, that I’ve had no dealings with, that can’t protect their on back yard. This has to be a SCAM or novel way of trying too make them look like a credible outfit to work with. Therefore those that answer will be getting cold calls offering Gallagher’s services in the future??????
    Wolves in sheep’s clothes!!

I just received mine today Oct.19, 2021. I would also join the ” class action law suit ”. I always have issues with these big companies saying they want all my info and I tell them NO. They always say they are safe and secure, like a bank, yeah right, anybody willing to trust a bank. Our info is always compromised by a big company, never on our own without them, It’s about time they paid for their damages, NOT BY NOW WATHING FOR WHAT IS GOING ON after the fact AND accept another idiotic company watching my finances. I am in canada and they want ” Transunion ” to monitor my finances. As for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co they are an insurance company, I think ‘home’ don’t remember I use a broker. As for the ”suit” I think it is settled and this FREE monitoring is part of what they have to do.

I got the letter dated October 2021. Gallagher had my info because of a workers compensation case with my former employer Compass Group USA – Chartwells sector. Gallagher handled claims for Compass Group USA. During the exact same time frame of the breach my info was used to file Unemployment claims, PUA, and PUAC with the State of Colorado. I have been under investigation for almost 2 years now with the Colorado Department of Labor and I was denied ALL COVID-19 ASSISTANCE, any future unemployment benefits with the state, terminated from Compass Group 7 days after workers compensation hearing, and countless notifications of login attempts on every financial, social, and shopping accounts you can think of. Notified 14 months after breach and compensated with a 2 year protection for future monitoring. I’m no longer worried about future monitoring since Gallagher has already given ALL of my info, medical condition, and password away.
