Insurance Office of America Names 6 Regional Executives

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is pleased to announce the appointment of six regional presidents to its leadership team. The appointees to regional president include:

  • Nathan Brainard – Central Florida Region
  • Michael Caffrey – Georgia Region
  • Michael Coleman – Northeast Region
  • Michael Hasner – South Florida Region
  • Ricky Lott – Central Region
  • Paul Sullivan – Northwest Region

The six regional president appointments, coupled with the recent addition of division presidents, are part of the firm’s expansion plan. The regional presidents work alongside division presidents, managing partners, and operations leaders to foster consistent growth.

Aon Appoints DeFelice to Lead U.S. Construction and Infrastructure Practice

Global insurance broker Aon announced Tony DeFelice will lead the firm’s U.S. construction and infrastructure practice (formerly called the construction services group).

DeFelice brings nearly 40 years of experience in the insurance brokerage industry, including more than two decades of leadership at Aon. Most recently, he held the position of managing director of the national casualty practice group within Aon’s U.S. Commercial Risk Solutions.

He succeeds Jim Gloriod, who was appointed Aon’s enterprise growth leader for North America. Gloriod led the construction practice for five years and will continue to partner with DeFelice to best serve construction clients.

Aon said it is in the process of hiring a new leader of national casualty.

Stephens Appointed North American Head of Cyber at Allianz

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) reported that Tresa Stephens has been promoted to regional head of Cyber, Tech & Media, North America. Based in New York.

Stephens succeeds Thomas Kang, who left AGCS in January 2022.

Stephens joined AGCS North America in September 2020 as Northeast regional product leader for Financial Lines. She has been implementing AGCS Cyber underwriting strategy and service. Stephens has also led efforts to enhance technical underwriting through qualitative cyber training within the business line across geographies.

Previously, Stephens led the East region cyber practice of Argo Group as an underwriting manager. She also held underwriting positions at Chubb, where she was an executive underwriter for financial lines, and Hiscox as a technology underwriter.

Stephens reports to Joe Caruso, regional head of Financial Lines, North America.
