AXIS Appoints Galanski as Head of North America Property & Casualty Programs

Gabriel Galanski has joined AXIS Capital Holdings Limited as head of North American property and casualty programs. Galanski will manage, develop and administer programs and will work in close partnership with the company’s wholesale division.

Before joining AXIS, Galanski served as a vice president with the Macquarie Insurance Facility, where he developed, grew and led relationships with financial sponsors and the management teams of their portfolio companies. Previously, he was an associate client executive at Marsh & McLennan.

Ningen Named by Swiss Re as CEO of U.S. P&C Reinsurance

Monica Ningen has been named CEO of U.S. P/C Reinsurance at Swiss Re, effective July 1. Ningen will lead a team of client managers, claims experts and underwriters while maintaining Swiss Re’s position as a trusted partner in its largest market.

Ningen replaces Keith Wolfe, who has decided to pursue opportunities outside of Swiss Re.

Ningen has nearly three decades of experience in the re/insurance industry, starting her career at E.W. Blanch, a reinsurance broker. She joined Swiss Re in 2006 when Swiss Re acquired GE Insurance Solutions. Since that time, she has held several leadership roles in property underwriting, including head of property underwriting US & Canada.

Jolee Crosby was appointed to take over Ningen’s former role as president & CEO of Swiss Re Canada & English Caribbean.
