Liberty Mutual Insurance Appoints John Krupczak to Lead Property for US Energy

Liberty Mutual Insurance announced the appointment of John Krupczak to the role of head of US Energy (Property), effective immediately. Part of the Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) business unit, John will oversee all property solutions across mid-size and large energy businesses in the US. He will work alongside Liberty Mutual’s team of energy specialists.

Krupczak has been with Liberty Mutual for 12 years. Previously, he held the positions of underwriting manager and senior risk engineer, US Energy. In his new role, he will report to Manuel Moreno, chief underwriting officer and president, LSM, US and Latin America.

Reinert, Murray to Anchor Everest’s Dedicated Private Equity Practice

Everest Insurance, the insurance division of Everest Group, has established a dedicated private equity practice.

Dan Reinert has been appointed private equity vertical leader. Most recently, Reinert oversaw private equity within Everest Specialty Underwriters. Before Everest, Reinert served as vice president at Aspen Insurance Group and assistant vice president at StarStone Insurance.

Everest also named Matt Murray as head of private equity distribution. Murray joined Everest in 2016 as northeast region distribution leader for North America. Before joining Everest, he served as a managing director at Marsh.
