People Moves: Lockton Names Goldenberg Executive Vice President, Operations; Elder Promoted to Global CUO, Specialty at AXA XL

Lockton, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, named Steve Goldenberg executive vice president, operations. He will be based in Kansas City and lead strategic initiatives, recruit talent, and build innovative solutions.

Goldenberg joins Lockton from Aon where he held several senior leadership roles throughout his 15-year tenure, including most recently serving as global chief operating officer, commercial risk solutions. Prior to Aon, Goldenberg spent several years at McKinsey & Company and served as senior engagement manager.

AXA XL Appoints Anne Marie Elder as Global Chief Underwriting Officer, Specialty

AXA XL said Anne Marie Elder will take on the newly created role of global chief underwriting officer, specialty, effective April 1.

Elder will collaborate with regional underwriting operations to set the strategic direction, and support business development, of AXA XL’s collective marine, aerospace, and specialty niche portfolios, under a newly created global specialty branch. Based in Hartford, Connecticut, Elder will report to Libby Benet, global chief underwriting officer.

Elder currently serves as AXA XL’s global chief underwriting officer, marine. She joined the business in 2011 and has led the global marine team since 2019. Prior, she held positions with The Hartford, Allianz and CNA Insurance.
